Settler's Run take on Barnbougle 2026
Three days, three courses. Fly into Launceston Thursday, home Sunday.
Everyone flying into Launceston (LST) Thursday morning, home Sunday.
Flight numbers still TBC β arrival times above are estimates based on typical MELβLST flight duration, confirm against your actual booking.
Thursday's groups are locked in. Lost Farm was drawn Thursday 7:00pm and is locked. Bougle Run PM and The Dunes reveal at their set times, the same groups on every phone, rigged so everyone plays with everyone else at least once by the end of Friday.
Booked as a two-ball, staying on-site at Lost Farm. Not yet confirmed if they've been paired with anyone else.
Barnbougle is about an hour's drive northeast of Launceston Airport, near Bridport.
Nathan & Chris aren't in either car β no idea what they're doing for transport, and at this point we're scared to ask.
Three counting rounds β Lost Farm, Bougle Run PM and The Dunes β each scored two ways: individual and pairs. Points add up across all three to decide the Barnbougle Cup. Full handicaps used throughout.
4BBB Stableford, just for a bit of fun. Group 1 ("Stars") v Group 2 ("Virgins") to shake off the travel. Doesn't count toward the Cup.
Full handicaps, Stableford scoring. Rank the 8 players 1st to 8th on their round score and award points 8 down to 1.
Partners come straight off the tee sheet β in each 4-ball, players 1 & 2 pair up and players 3 & 4 pair up, giving 4 pairs across the two groups. Add your two individual Stableford scores together, rank the 4 pairs, and award points 4 down to 1.
Individual points plus pairs points, added up across Lost Farm, Bougle Run PM and The Dunes. Whoever's got the most after three rounds takes the Cup home.

Three very different tests, all within a few hundred metres of each other on the Tasmanian coast.
SaturdayNeeds no introduction to most of the group β Doak and Clayton's original design opened in 2004 on what used to be nothing more than a potato farm, and has spent two decades ranked among the best courses in the country. Doak himself has called it the windiest site he's ever worked on; anyone who's stood on the 5th tee into a headwind knows exactly what he means.
Few things are as reliable as Pete finding a way to throw away a great score somewhere between 16 and 18, while the driveable 4th and 12th have produced their fair share of highlight-reel moments and blow-ups in equal measure. The walk from the 4th green up to the 5th tee is one of the great views in Australian golf β worth the trip across Bass Strait on its own.
Friday AMCoore and Crenshaw's layout opened in 2010, six years after the Dunes, and quickly earned a reputation as the more forgiving of the two β wider fairways, flatter terrain, kinder off the tee. Don't let that fool you: miss those fairways and the ball is genuinely never coming back. It's also the only course of the three with 20 holes on the card.
The 3rd and 4th are genuine front-nine highlights, and the mound on the 7th catches out everyone who hasn't played it. The 5th is the toughest hole on the course β carry a 20-foot dune up the right or the river's waiting β while the famous 18a, a nearest-the-pin decider hole, is the perfect way to settle a bet at the end of the round.
Thu PM Β· Fri PMThe baby of the family β opened in 2021 and built largely by hand during Covid lockdowns, tucked into the highest dunes on the property. Fourteen holes, twelve of them one-shotters plus a couple of driveable par 4s, all playable in under two hours. Nowhere near the length of the other two, but just as capable of wrecking a scorecard.
The driveable par 4s bring plenty of risk-reward fun, and the downhill 10th with its punchbowl green and the fully exposed par-3 5th are the two holes everyone walks off talking about β proper tests despite the short-course billing.
